Need help right now?

The crisis and homeless lines are free, confidential and open 24 hours a day. You do not need to be enrolled in VA benefits or health care.

Housing help for veterans

Free. Every era. Every discharge status. Call 888-771-7313 or send the short form below, and a real person will get back to you.

Who we help

  • Veterans of every era
  • Every discharge status, including veterans other programs have turned away
  • Veterans' families, including children
  • Veterans who are homeless now or about to lose their housing

We are starting in Baltimore City and Baltimore County, then adding Anne Arundel, Howard, Harford and Carroll counties. If you live somewhere else, the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at 877-424-3838 can connect you with help near you.

It costs you nothing. We never charge veterans or families for our help.

What happens after you reach out

  1. We call you back

Within one business day. A real person listens and asks about your whole situation, not just housing.

  2. A roof, quickly

If you need somewhere to stay while we work, we look for a temporary place through a partner landlord.

  3. We walk the process with you

Benefits you have earned, income, documents and a deposit. One named case manager stays with you.

  4. Your own lease

A home in your name. We check in at 30, 60 and 90 days to make sure it holds.

Ask for help

Four questions. We will call or email you back within one business day.

Please do not include your Social Security number, medical information or discharge papers. We will ask only for what we need, later, by phone.

Or call 888-771-7313
